Quite simply – a more advanced mid-size truck.
It's everything you expect from a Chevy truck and everything you didn't expect from any mid-size truck before it. The all-new 2015 Colorado is designed, engineered and built to completely reinvent the mid-size pickup. A harder working, harder playing truck with a bold personality and its own spirit of adventure. A truck that's loaded with industry-leading technological advances, including the debut of the only diesel engine in its class.1 A truck that ups the ante with big-time payload and towing capacities. It's everything a mid-size truck can be – and will be, following the introduction of the all-new Colorado.
Not just a bolder look – a bolder truck.
One look is at all it takes to recognize how the all-new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado ushers in a brand new era for the mid-size truck.
As soon as you see the dramatic power dome hood, the Chevrolet signature dual port grille and bow-tie, and the integrated wrap-around headlights, you'll notice a distinct lack of resemblance to any other mid-size truck. With its commanding presence, Colorado has the rugged character and scale that will remind you more of a full-size pickup. Yet Colorado offers its own brand of impressive capability in a compact, manoeuvrable and fuel-efficient form.
Link up.
The latest in connectivity, information and entertainment technology comes to mid-size trucks with the available Chevrolet MyLink™2 radio. This next-generation system uses a 203 mm (8-in.) diagonal colour touch-screen to control a series of functions.
It connects to your smartphone through Bluetooth®3 or a USB4 port to let you hear incoming text messages, send pre-set texts,5 place calls and more. You also have access to your favourite Stitcher® Internet Radio6 stations and other media via touch or voice commands. Through the available Siri Eyes Free,7 you can also control your compatible iPhone® hands-free. Stay in touch with your friends and with your go-to media sources, thanks to the extraordinary capabilities of the available Chevrolet MyLink™2.
Surrounded in silence.
Colorado is the first truck in its class1 to combine design features such as inlaid, triple-sealed doors, as well as thick windshield and side glass to help reduce wind noise inside the cab. That helps keep the outside world … outside.
Surrounded in comfort.
Colorado's dynamic exterior design is carried through in the sporty Chevrolet signature dual-cockpit cab. The gauges and controls combine form with function – they add to the cab's style, while also allowing for intuitive operation. Leather-appointed and cloth seats are both available and are shaped for maximum support and legroom. A sculpted headliner provides extra space at the top of the cab's interior, increasing headroom for taller drivers and passengers.

Surrounded by storage.
A large centre console provides easy, secure storage for your portable electronic devices. With a cord management system and dedicated non-skid space for charging, you'll never hunt around for a misplaced smartphone or cord. Additional storage and up to four USB4 ports add convenience for the rest of your crew.
Performance on demand.
"All-new" describes much more than the design of the 2015 Colorado. It represents an all-new approach to the mid-size pickup, starting with a new lineup of engines. Power, advanced technologies, fuel efficiency and choice are the cornerstones. The lineup will feature three engines: the 2.5L I-4 and 3.6L V6 will be joined in 2015 by the highly anticipated introduction of the 2.8L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel. That's not just big news for Chevrolet and its owners – it's a headline grabber for the entire category as no other current North American competitor in its class offers an available turbo-diesel engine.1 And the range of engine choices that allow you to select the one with the right blend of performance, and fuel efficiency, towing and hauling capacity for the way you live, the way you work and the way you drive.
A smarter approach to power.
Take all of Colorado's new-found power and hauling capacity. Then you dig a little deeper. What other surprises await you with the introduction of the 2015 Colorado? Remarkable fuel efficiency for a truck this powerful and capable. That begins with a dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) configuration on both gasoline engines and extends to advanced engine management technologies, including Variable Valve Timing (VVT) that optimizes efficiency while boosting torque and horsepower, and segment exclusive Direct Injection (DI) that also optimizes the power drawn from every drop of fuel.1
Diesel in a mid-size? Believe it.
It's already created quite a buzz – the available 2.8L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel that's coming to Colorado in 2015 changes the game as the only diesel in its class.1 The enthusiasm for diesel stems from its ability to combine enormous torque production, major fuel efficiency gains and rock-solid durability. On top of those realities is the fact that Duramax® is one of the most trusted names in diesel technology, with more than a million units of the larger V8 engine already sold in trucks like Chevrolet's full-size Heavy-Duty pickups.
Big on capability.
Colorado isn't one of those mid-size lifestyle trucks that looks the part but can't deliver on real-world demands. Colorado separates itself from the rest of the class with serious hauling credentials. The maximum towing capacity is projected to be up to 3039 kg (6700 lb.). That's a whole lot of trailer to go along with a whole lot of truck. In fact, it's anticipated that Colorado will offer unprecedented towing and payload capacities for a mid-size. Adding to its hauling capabilities is the available six-speed automatic transmission that features a button-activated Tow/Haul mode on 3.6L V6 models, reducing the upshifting and downshifting associated with hauling a big load.
Ready for anything.
Colorado takes mid-size utility to another level, with a standard two-tier box system that provides an upper and lower storage area, perfect for hauling mountain bikes on top while leaving plenty of room for more gear below – or for moving a full load of mixed building supplies. The available Cargo Management System divides the box into modular sections for impressive loading flexibility. And an available EZ-Lift tailgate increases the convenience. Load it up with confidence, with Colorado.
Another form of reassurance.
Every Colorado model is equipped with a series of driver control technologies that help you avoid hazards. Standard equipment includes the StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with rollover mitigation, four-wheel disc brakes with long-lasting Duralife brake rotors and ABS. For added four-season traction, four-wheel drive will also be available.
